CIRA survey

I originally posted this a week ago, but perhaps it didn't get to the list
as I got no responses.

Has anyone else seen this survey sent from Gregg, Kelly, Sullivan &
Woolstencroft: The Strategic Counsel on behalf of CIRA?

My first thought was that if it's legitimate survey, it would have been
better that it be sent directly from CIRA...but I completed it anyhow.

I was most interested in this statement/question on the survey:

"In fact, the policy direction that CIRA is considering is to continue to
publish contact information online for organizations that hold dot-ca names,
but no personal contact information for individuals that hold dot-ca names.
What is your view of this proposed new online publication policy for CIRA? "

I'm just curious what everyone thinks and how that might complicate matters
when we are trying to do a domain transfer etc. I can certainly see why
they are considering doing this especially in light of the PIPEDA privacy
act etc. However, I just don't want to see the .ca domains become any more
complicated than they already are to sell.

Regards,

Heather
