This is not only for .org. It's the same for com, net, info, biz. You
should be able to determine from the status if that domain has been paid
or not. I agree, it's confusing. I think it happens because it is the
registrar who has to track this. They have to renew the domain and then
cancel it at the end of redemption period or whatever it is called lately.
