Car ownership is, by and large, very public, since you usually have to be
physically present to use it. So if you park your car on my lawn, I can
usually contact you as you get out of the car, or by waiting until you come
back.
This whole argument has come up before and I don't feel like rehashing it.
Suffice to remind people there is an alternate side who very much wants
verifiable whois information for every domain.
