Accent in end-user emails

Some emails sent from the rwi (end-user renewal notices, etc) are sent with
bad encoding. French accentuated letters (i) appears all wrong in the
mail...

I suppose that's beacaus the data from rwi (thus the email) are stored as
utf-8 and the email is sent out as iso-8859-1 charsets...

How can we go arround this ?
