Email Aliases Broken

Up until very recently, I had the same alias defined and working for several
accounts on the same domain. For example sales@mycustomer.com was set up as
an alias in the WebMailAdmin tool for all the people in the sales department.
Today, that no longer works.

Has anyone else run into this?
What are folks doing for distribution lists?
