any ICANN rules on the business name of domain registered to a business?

I'm just wondering what ICANN says on this. For example, I see domain
registrants listed as

"xyz.com"

when the legal name of the company is actually "xyz, inc.".

If we assume "xyz.com" is registered as a trade name/business name under
"xyz, inc." is this a proper and legal registration in the eyes of ICANN?
