Verisign has been having some issues with the last two zone and whois
updates.

The noon update yesterday failed and the midnight update is still running
(as of 1:00pm EST Aug 19)

Subject: .com zone files and whois.crsnic.net ??

Anyone know of anything wrong at verisign?

The current SOA record for .com seems to have a serial # (1092804008)
which is a UNIX timestamp for:

   Aug 17 21:40:08 2004

and the whois.crsnic.net database is marked as

>>> Last update of whois database: Wed, 18 Aug 2004 08:45:33 EDT <<<

Given that it's aproximately 14:27 EDT on Aug 19th, everything seems way
out of date, or is this normal and I'm just getting irritated because I'm
only looking because one of yesterdays renewals has not taken effect... :(

Is there a place to go to lookup status/problem reports for this?

-Tom
