As an aside, to help drive Robert's point -- what kind of "opt-in" can
there be that is NOT explicit?
I guess this is in defense of the New English, where we say things like
"My jaw literally hit the floor" when in fact we mean exactly the opposite.
In a discussion like this I think all parties owe it to each other to use
frank language.
