I also wish to register a NO vote for this move. I haven't used NNTP
for YEARS and I do not wish to start now.

I much prefer a "push" system like email than a "pull" system like web
forums and NNTP. For instance I knew about this change cause of the
email that arrived tell me. If it was on a web forum I would have to
remember to go check there every now and then to see if there is
anything new which quite frankly will get forgotten.

Viewing threads in email for has never been a problem and if you are
having problems with spam and email in your email service then you
shouldn't be running an email service at all! How can we trust you to
be running email for our customers if you cannot even keep spam and
viruses out of your own lists and have to resort to web forums?
