Problem adding DNS

I'm trying to ad name severs to a clients domain but get the following
error,

Unable to update nameservers: Registry error, domain's nameservers not
updated [Failed Finding: Host(ns1.bitcart.com)]

Is this a temporary error or ?? The host resolves and is listed in the
whois at internic.com.
