26 char domains vs. 67 char domains

Hello,

I read in OpenSRS doc that domains will be limited to 26 characters (22 +
4), like they have always been at Network Solutions.

Melbourne IT, and maybe others are now registering 67 character (63 + 4)
domain names. This could be seen as a competitive advantage for them and
their resellers.

Can OpenSRS be expanded to accept 67 character domain names?
