Actually, that is 70 chars. Remember the dot plus extension is included
in the count.

I don't have the press release handy, but they use names like the
following as examples that you could not register before. Both name are
far shorter than the limit.

HarleyDavidsonMotorcycles.com
OrangeCountyBusinessJournal.com
